The 27th International Exhibition for Track Technology (iaf)
The largest fair world wide
With over 200 exhibitors from 20 countries, thousands of attendees and a gigantic exhibition area in the indoor and outdoor area of Halle Münsterland, the iaf is by far the largest fair in the world in the field of track technology.
It took place from 30th May to 1st June 2017: new developments and innovations from the fields of rail technology and infrastructure have been presented once again in Münster.
All leading enterprises involved in research, development, manufacture or supply in this sector participated.
New machines, devices, materials and technologies have been exhibited in the three big exhibition halls with a surface of 15 000 m2. The exhibition surface in the outdoor area could even be extended to 6 000 m2 in 2017. The giant machines could again be admired on more than 3 000 m of real ballasted tracks.
For many years the modern Messe und Congress Centrum Halle Münsterland and its immediate proximity to the Münster Ost railway station of Westfälische Landes-Eisenbahn (WLE) have been offering the best conditions for an event of this magnitude.
International
The 27th iaf hosted firms and visitors from many countries – therefore it was the perfect opportunity to establish international business contacts and to further expand the network of customers and partners.
At the same time the iaf offered the opportunity to enter into the international market with technical innovations.
Program
The have been also intensive and interesting seminars and technical demonstrations on track and machine, and to other events surrounding the exhibition.
The official festive opening event was held on the first day of the exhibition.
On all three days seminars and discussions were held on specific themes in German and English.
Guided tours of the fair complemented the events.
