26th iaf 2013 successfully concluded
The 26th iaf closed its doors on 30th May 2013 after three intensive exhibition days. Thousands of visitors from 89 countries and from all continents had come to Münster to examine new technical solutions of the 207 exhibitors from 21 nations. With its focus on special machines for modern track-laying, track maintenance and repair, the iaf is the worldwide largest fair of its kind. “We never before had visitors and exhibitors from so many countries. The big international interest also demonstrates that Germany is leading the railway technology market, but it also shows that the iaf has become internationally established.”, said Dr.-Ing. Siegfried Krause, managing director of VDEI-Service GmbH and head of the organisation of the iaf. This was repeatedly confirmed by speeches held on the occasion of the solemn opening ceremony on 28th May 2013.
